Downhill Racer

Read along as Talia describes her weekend
with Uncle Steve, Aunt Margaret and
cousins Anjelica and Sebastian in Tahoe:

You might wanna take notes, 'cause we
did EVERYTHING!

There was snow everywhere. Jelly said
I needed to suit-up before we could
play in it.

Look at all the neat stuff they brought me!

All set. (It's just the camera angle that
makes me look like TooLoose-LowTrek.)

A good snowman always starts with
a good base, says Bastion.

With Grandmother's House behind us, it's time for...

... a sleigh ride!

Two horses work great.

Two cousins work harder. Mush!

The afterburners are where?
Jelly and I enjoy a low-cal snack.

My bunny-ear hat was the talk of the slopes until...

Back at the cabin, Uncle Steve supervises preparation
of the most important part of the meal.

And such a meal!

[Shhh! I let them win sometimes.]

Getting ready to hit the slopes again.

Waiting our turn for the gondola.

Hmmm? Enough speed down this hill and
I'll bet I can hit the lake.

First time on skis! (For me, not Dad.)

Thanks for the greatest time, everybody!
Where to next week?

Gymnastics

Talia is always looking for new ways to deny gravity and
terrify her elders. But lately, some of her exploits have
gotten a bit more... structured.

See for yourself here.

Anjelica: Talia is looking forward to getting
your award-winning tips on her tumbling
this weekend.

And Sebatian, as you can see, Talia and Uncle
Dave will need some pointers on snowman
design and construction.

Happy Birthday, Papa!

Talia had lunch with Papa today to celebrate
his special day.

There was a more traditional birthday cake
later at dinner, but at lunch Talia and Papa
shared some 'air cake'.

"And a BIG Bon Anniversaire to Tonton Pierre,
too. You always make me laugh. So here's one
for you, Tonton."

Truckin'

Talia has had a thing for trucks and construction
equipment since she could say "backhoe". So a visit
to today's Touch-A-Truck show was essential.

Talia scrambled all over various excavators
before stowing away in this scoop.

Schoolgirl wannabes...

... on the school bus Gus.

"These things can really muss a coif."

"What do you mean, no rides today?"

"This crane truck's paint job gives me an idea
for the living room, Mom."

"Sitting at the helm gave me another idea."
