6 Months

I'll be half a year old tomorrow. A good time to reflect on accomplishments and plans for the next six months.

Discovered my hands and feet

Want to: Walk and roll

Learned to appreciate books

Want to: Enjoy more challenging literature

Learned to eat solid food (if you call gruel and
strained veggies solid)

Want to: Grow some teeth so I can eat REALLY solid food.

Grew from just over 7 lbs to more than 18.

Want to: Get even bigger.

Mardi Gras

Spring is on its way out here. Warmer weather,
buds (even blooms) on trees, longer strolls,
and, of course, a new wardrobe.

Nice oufit..

..but all those frills? The "single sock" look,
reminiscent of Michael Jackson's single glove.

And, well, you know those costumes they're wearing
in Rio today.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Talia has a shout out for all her blog readers on her first Valentine's day:

My Nevada grandparents received the cutest Valentine
from my cousin Natalie, way up in Michigan. They think
it's the best, and so do I. See for yourself:

Thanks for being so thoughtful and creative, cuz.

As for me, I'm continuing to experiment
with sitting up, 'solid' food, my voice, hands,
right jab and left cross.

In keeping with the today's celebration, here are
some of my favorite pink outfits.
Happy Valentine's Day, everybody!

No geek

Talia is taking a great interest in gadgets; cell phones, TV remotes, computers.
And since the weather has been conducive to indoor activity lately...

...Talia's been polishing her on-line skills.

Talia's a PC...

...and a Mac.

She also gives lessons.

But Talia's not a total geek. She still maintains
her other interests.

Green Beans

Cautiously optimistic.

Full approval!

First Cold

Yesterday, Talia got her first cold, darn it. We
were starting to think maybe she was immune
to all known diseases.

She spent a lot of time recovering, like this:

She had her share of congestion and weepy eyes,
but it wasn't all bad. She still found lots of things
to smile about.

And the weather was so nice, she got plenty
of fresh air.

And by the end of today, she was talking with
her Dad as usual.

Groundhog Day

When Talia went out today, we tried to make sure
she wouldn't see her shadow:

But, it got so warm and sunny, she had to dress
down. And sure enough, there's that shadow:

She didn't get frightened, but she did go back
inside... to eat:

Six more weeks of winter?
